Savukku Shankar Arrested in Theni, Taken to Coimbatore Govt Hospital for Medical Check Up

Savukku Shankar, arrested by Coimbatore Cybercrime police in Theni for derogatory remarks, was injured in a road accident near Dharapuram. After treatment, he was transported to Coimbatore and is now undergoing medical check up before remand proceedings.

In a significant development, the Coimbatore Cybercrime police unit arrested social media commentator Savukku Shankar early today in Theni. The arrest was made following Shankar's alleged derogatory comments against female police officers, which led to an official investigation. Post his apprehension, he was transported towards Coimbatore for further legal proceedings.

During the journey, the police vehicle met with an accident near Dharapuram, resulting in minor injuries to Shankar. The collision happened under circumstances that are yet to be fully disclosed. Shankar sustained injuries to his legs and was quickly taken to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical attention.

Following initial treatment, Shankar was moved to Coimbatore Government Hospital this evening for a thorough check-up ahead of his remand proceedings. The incident has garnered attention, and further updates on his medical condition and legal status are awaited.
