Kamal Haasan will campaign for DMK candidate Ganapathi Rajkumar in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on April 16, 2024, supporting the Makkal Needhi Maiam's alliance with the Indian National Congress.

Coimbatore: In an interesting political development, actor Kamal Haasan is set to support DMK candidate Ganapathi Rajkumar in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections. This strategic move will also include Makkal Needhi Maiam candidate Ganapathi Rajkumar contesting in Lok Sabha constituencies across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The alliance aims to secure a slot for Makkal Needhi Maiam in the 2025 Rajya Sabha elections. Following this political alignment, Kamal Haasan has been actively campaigning across Tamil Nadu. According to sources, the actor will be in Coimbatore's Raj Street, within the South Coimbatore legislative assembly area, at 7:30 PM on April 16, 2024, to rally support for Ganapathi Rajkumar.

This event is expected to garner significant attention as it marks an important phase in the Makkal Needhi Maiam's campaign efforts under the newly formed coalition.
