Karpagam Nursing College Hosts Oath Taking Ceremony for New Batch

On March 9, 2024, Karpagam Nursing College conducted an Oath Taking Ceremony for the 16th batch of B. Sc Nursing 1st year students in the KNC Auditorium, inaugurated by esteemed guests including Dr. Suba Sooria Panchalingam.


Coimbatore: The Karpagam Nursing College celebrated the beginning of an academic journey for its 16th batch of B. Sc Nursing first-year students by organizing an "Oath Taking Ceremony" on March 9, 2024, at the KNC Auditorium.



The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Suba Sooria Panchalingam, MSc (N), PhD, MBA, Head of Nursing Services at Kasturba Hospital and an Associate of MAHE, Manipal. Special invitee Colonel Dr. V. Venkatesan, VSM, Medical Director of Karpagam Hospital, and Mr. Sivakumar, General Manager at Karpagam Hospital, also played significant roles in the ceremony.



The program commenced with a captivating welcome dance by the college students, followed by a heartfelt welcome address from Prof. Sutha, the Principal of Karpagam Nursing College. The highlight of the event was the lighting of the 1st year B. Sc Nursing students' lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the enlightenment of their nursing career. The oath of dedication to the nursing profession was led by Sivagami, Assistant Professor, guiding the new nurses into their noble path.

Prof. Mrs. Ilakkiya underscored the Significance of the Day, emphasizing the importance of the oath in shaping the students' future in nursing. The ceremony was further enriched by motivational speeches from the chief guest, Dr. Suba Sooria Panchalingam, and the special invitee, Colonel Dr. V. Venkatesan, inspiring the students to excel in their chosen field.



The event concluded on a grateful note with a Vote of Thanks by Santha, Associate Professor, marking the successful inauguration of the academic year for the budding nurses.
