Coimbatore City Corporation Inaugurates Integrated Child Development Services Complex

The Coimbatore City Corporation has inaugurated an Integrated Child Development Services Complex in Rathinapuri, Ganapathy Manjappan Street, with a private contribution from L&T MBDA Missile Systems Limited, at a cost of Rs.1.01 crore. The complex was opened by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS, benefiting approximately 120 children from the surrounding areas.


Coimbatore: In a significant development for child welfare in the region, the Coimbatore City Corporation has unveiled an Integrated Child Development Services Complex in Rathinapuri, Ganapathy Manjappan Street. The complex, constructed at a cost of Rs.1.01 crore with private contributions from L&T MBDA Missile Systems Limited, was inaugurated on February 29, 2024, by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS, in the presence of Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, City Corporation Commissioner Ma. Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, and Deputy Mayor Ra. Vetriselvan, among others.



Located within Ward No. 46 of Coimbatore City Corporation's Central Region, the newly inaugurated complex is set to benefit approximately 120 children from Rathinapuri, Ganapathy Manjappan Street, Saibaba Colony, and Rathinapuri areas. The facility includes a total of six centers, all equipped with modern amenities to provide a comprehensive range of child development services.



The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures including Central Region Chairperson Meenalochani, L&T MBDA Missile Systems Limited's Chief Executive Ravi Kattaria, Administrative Head Amulkethra, District Project Officer Murugeswari, Project Officers Kavitha Pappi, Andal, City Corporation Assistant Engineer Prabhakaran, Assistant Engineer Saravanan, and several government officials.



This initiative marks a significant milestone in the city's efforts to enhance child welfare services. The Integrated Child Development Services Complex aims to offer a nurturing environment for children, focusing on their health, nutrition, and educational needs. It represents a collaborative effort between the public sector and private enterprise, showcasing a model of successful partnership for community development.

The complex is expected to play a crucial role in the holistic development of children in the area, providing them with the necessary resources and support to thrive. The Coimbatore City Corporation's commitment to improving child welfare services through such initiatives is a commendable step towards building a stronger, healthier future for the city's youngest residents.
