Sanitation Worker Dies Due to Electrocution While Removing Illegal Banner in Veerapandi

Marimuthu, another person involved, is currently undergoing intensive treatment at Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital.


The Social Justice Sanitation Workers' Association has approached the Coimbatore District Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati, demanding justice for Dinesh's untimely death. They have submitted a petition to the Director of Municipalities, seeking a government job for Dinesh's widow and a compensation of Rs. 50 lakhs. Additionally, they have requested Rs. 10 lakhs for Marimuthu, who is battling for his life in the hospital. This incident has sparked a call for better safety measures and rights protection for sanitation workers.
