Coimbatore: A significant meeting was convened under the leadership of Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, I.A.S., the Commissioner of Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, with the drivers and owners of municipal and private sewage tankers at the RS Puram City Municipal Corporation Art Gallery on February 22, 2024. He announced a revised fee structure for waste disposal, with charges of Rs. 200 for up to 6000 liters and Rs. 300 for volumes above that, to be paid at the Ukkadam Waste Water Treatment Facility.

Additionally, the Commissioner urged the public to utilize the municipal corporation's free helpline number (0422-14420) for sewage disposal services. The meeting was attended by city health officer Dr. Vasanth Diwakar; assistant commissioners Mr. Senthilkumaran, Mr. Prem Anand, Mrs. Sandhya, Mrs. Sridevi, Mrs. Kavitha; and municipal health inspector Mr. Thirumal, along with other municipal officials.
