Coimbatore Celebrates Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's 76th Birth Anniversary

AIADMK members in Coimbatore, led by City District Secretary Amman Arjunan MLA, paid tribute to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on her 76th birth anniversary with a procession and floral tributes.


Coimbatore: The 76th birth anniversary of the late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was commemorated today with fervor by the AIADMK members in Coimbatore. Under the leadership of City District Secretary Amman Arjunan MLA, party members organized a procession from the party office to Jayalalithaa's statue on Avinashi Road, where they paid homage by garlanding the statue.



Following the procession, a ceremonial hoisting of the party flag took place at the party office, where Jayalalithaa's portrait was adorned with flowers, and a cake was cut in her honor. The Coimbatore District Jayalalithaa Forum also distributed educational scholarships, financial aid, and medical assistance as part of the celebration. An annadhanam (mass feeding) was subsequently conducted for everyone present.

The event saw the participation of numerous party officials and supporters, including former Minister S.M. Velusamy, Singanallur Constituency MLA K.R. Jayaram, South Suburban District MGR Youth Wing Secretary Engineer Chandrasekar, former MLA Duraimurugan, Assembly Leader Singai Muthu, Council Secretary Prabhakaran, C.D.C. Jappar, among others, showcasing the party's unity and continued reverence for Jayalalithaa's legacy.
