Coimbatore: As the Lok Sabha elections are expected to be announced soon, the Coimbatore District Collector has taken proactive steps to ensure impartiality in election duties. In a significant move, 47 Deputy District Development Officers, who have been in their current positions for more than three years, have been transferred across various locations within the district.

Among the notable transfers, Tamilarisi, previously serving in the audit division in Thondamuthur, has been moved to Sulur. Sambathkumar, who was stationed in Sulur, is now assigned to Thondamuthur. Similarly, Indirani, who worked as Deputy District Development Officer in Thondamuthur Mandal-2, has been transferred to Madukkarai, and Deepa, from Madukkarai, has been relocated to her position.

Additionally, Hemalatha, who served as Deputy District Development Officer (Villages) in Thondamuthur, has been transferred to Kinathukadavu. Shanmugapriya from Sarkar Samakulam and Deepalakshmi from Sulur have been moved to Sulur Vattara and Thondamuthur Mandal-1, respectively.

This reshuffling aims to ensure a fair and smooth conduct of the upcoming elections by relocating officers who have served in the same locality for an extended period. The directive, issued by Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati on February 17, emphasizes the administration's commitment to maintaining integrity and impartiality in the electoral process.
