Adiyogi Ratham’s Odyssey Across Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari for Isha Mahashivratri

Ahead of the Isha Mahashivratri celebrations, the Adiyogi Ratham will travel through Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts, bringing the festivities closer to devotees with livestreams organized in 36 cities across Tamil Nadu.

Tirunelveli-Kanniyakumari: In a grand lead-up to the eagerly awaited Isha Mahashivratri celebrations, the Adiyogi Ratham, starting its spiritual journey from the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, is set to traverse the districts of Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari from February 8 to March 5. A press conference held in Tirunelveli today unveiled the details of this sacred expedition.

Isha volunteer Prem outlined the journey's intent to draw devotees to the grand Mahashivratri festival at the Isha Yoga Center and announced the livestreaming arrangements for the event in 36 cities across Tamil Nadu, including significant locations around Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari.

The Adiyogi Ratha Yatra, an annual tradition conducted by the Thenkailaya Bakthi Peravai, offers an opportunity for devotees to engage with the spirit of Mahashivratri, even if they cannot make it to Coimbatore. The Ratham's journey, inaugurated by Perur Adheenam Thavathiru Santhalinga Marudachal Adigalar, signifies the spread of Adiyogi's blessings across the state.

This year, four Adiyogi Rathams are navigating through Tamil Nadu, with one chariot designated to visit Thoothukudi, Kudankulam, Nagercoil, Vellichandi, Natalam, Pudukadai, Marthandam, and Melappuram in the Kanyakumari district, marking a journey of devotion and spirituality.

The Rathams have already covered Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kovilpatti, creating waves of spiritual fervor among the masses. The journey aims to culminate at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on March 8, coinciding with the Mahashivratri festival, symbolizing a full circle of divine engagement and celebration.

To ensure devotees everywhere can partake in the celebrations, live broadcasts are set up at strategic locations such as Jayam Mahal in Tirunelveli; Alagar Mahal in Tuticorin; and Athithiya Matric Higher Secondary School in Kanniyakumari, among others. The event promises a holistic spiritual experience with live telecasts, Annadanam, and the presence of sacred Adiyogi Rathams, offering a unique opportunity for spiritual enrichment and communal harmony. Participation in the event is free, inviting all to join in the festivities and receive Adiyogi's blessings.
