Coimbatore District Administration Invites Applications for Stone-Cutting Machine Training for Adi Dravidar Youth

The Coimbatore District Collector announces a new training program for Adi Dravidar and Tribal youth in operating stone-cutting machines, aiming to enhance employment opportunities.


Coimbatore: In a recent announcement, the Coimbatore District Collector informed that the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) is offering specialized training programs for Adi Dravidar and Tribal communities. These programs are focused on skill-based training for individuals who have completed their 10th standard. The training in operating stone-cutting machinery is provided through NDTF and is designed to facilitate employment opportunities.

Eligible applicants include Adi Dravidar and Tribal youth aged between 18 and 24 years who have completed the 10th standard. The training duration is six months, with an intensive 15-day course included. Successful trainees will receive a certification recognized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

Initially, trainees can expect a salary range between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000. Steps will be taken to secure employment opportunities in private industries. To apply for this training program, candidates must register on www.tahdco.com. District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has mentioned that TAHDCO will bear the training costs.
