Tirupur: The Panchayat Union Primary School is located at Chinna Kumarapalayam in Udumalpet Union of Tirupur District. Apart from Chinna Kumarapalayam, a large number of children from the surrounding areas are studying here.

The compound wall was constructed a few years ago to protect the school premises. It appears that the foundation was laid in a smooth manner at that time. Due to this, the compound wall in the entrance area has been damaged leaving cracks. This puts the school children at risk.

According to social activists, Since it is a primary school, a large number of children come here. The children will be unaware that the compound wall connecting to the entrance gate has been damaged.

When you open the gate, it moves and leans against the tree. There are chances of an accident when playful children who do not know when they will fall down are playing with the gate or going near the wall on the outside. The school management is also not paying any heed to this.

The authorities are also unaware that even minor neglect might lead to disaster. As a result, the authorities should take prompt action to restore the damaged compound wall on the premises of Chinna Kumarapalayam Panchayat Union Primary School, they stated.
