MLA P R G Arunkumar allocated Rs 14.80 lakh for drainage work from MLA funds

Kavundampalayam MLA P R G Arunkumar fulfilled the long-standing demand of construction of a storm water drain at Thirumalaichettipudur area near Kondayampalayam at a cost of Rs 14.80 lakh through his constituency development fund.


Coimbatore: Kavundampalayam MLA P R G Arunkumar inaugurated the storm water drain works near Kondayampalayam in Coimbatore district.

The people of Kottaipalayam village of Kondayampalayam panchayat in Sarkar Samakulam union of Coimbatore district have been demanding for a long time to find a solution to the problem of storm water drainage at Thirumalaichetty Pudur in 6th ward area.

In this situation, accepting the demand of the public, the Kavundampalayam MLA said that the solution to the drainage problem, PRG Arun Kumar has allocated Rs 14.80 lakh to carry out the drainage works through his constituency development fund.

In this situation, the bhoomi pooja work for the construction of the drain was held today. The event was presided over by MLA B R G Arun Kumar and the bhoomi pooja was performed in the presence of panchayat president, 6th ward councillor S Deepan Kumar.

Panchayat vice-president Shanmugasundaram, union committee president Kavitha Shanmugasundaram, union committee vice-president Rukmani Balakrishnan, and other ward councillors Kannammal, Preetha and panchayat secretary Marukutty participated in the meeting.

Moreover, the MLA who allocated the funds, the president of the panchayat and the 6th ward councillor S Deepan Kumar, who followed the long pending demand continuously and fulfilled it, were highly appreciated by the public.
