Kadu Hanumantharaya Swamy Temple Car Festival in Dharapuram - A large number of devotees participate!

The chariot race of Kadu Hanumantharaya Swamy Temple in Dharapuram began at 9 am. Devotees participated and pulled the chariot with devotional slogans.

Tirupur:The forest Hanumantharaya Swamy temple area at Dharapuram in Tiruppur district was a forest area 700 years ago.

Vyasaraya Swamigal had installed 732 Anjaneyamurtis around India. Anjaneya from Dharapuram Anjaneya is the 89th murti.

Generally, in sita and rama temples, sita is the presiding deity and Lord Rama is the presiding deity and anjaneya is the utsava murthy.

However, the unique feature of Dharapuram Anjaneya temple is that Lord Anjaneya is seated at a height of 7 feet in Dharapuram and Sita and Rama are the utsava murthis.

It is believed that Lord Anjaneya graces here in the form of air called Vayu. Due to this, the temple is always open on the roof of the sanctum sanctorum so that the air enters and goes out.

It is believed that if one performs Angapradakshinam in this temple and offers tulsi garlands and prays to Lord Anjaneya to melt his heart, those who are facing obstacles in marriage will get married soon.

It is also unique that any incurable body ailments can be cured. The temple chariot race began at 9 a.m.

A large number of devotees from the surrounding areas participated in the procession and pulled the chariot with devotional slogans. Then there was annadhanam and prasadams provided for everyone.
