Fake doctor arrested in Tirupur: Treating without studying medicine

Annadurai, who was treating patients without studying medicine at Karatangadu near Tirupur, was arrested on the orders of the district collector and police are investigating.

Tirupur: A fake doctor near Tirupur has been caught for providing treatment without formally practising medicine.

Tirupur District Collector Vineeth has received allegations that a hospital in the Karattangadu area near Tirupur is operating without proper permission and treating patients from the general public.

Following this, he directed a thorough investigation into the complaints and took appropriate action. Based on this, a team of officials led by the Joint Director of Health Services Kanagarani inspected the Karattangadu hospital (clinic).

Then, in 2019, it was revealed that a person named Annadurai provided treatment using a licence obtained in the name of someone else.

Following a complaint that he was practising allopathic treatment after learning Ayurvedic medicine, the authorities sealed the hospital on the 13th.

Following this, the District Health Services Officers conducted an investigation into Annadurai, who was undergoing medical treatment, and discovered that he had not studied Ayurveda and that all of the evidence he had was unable to be registered with the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Institute.

Tirupur South police arrested the fake doctor Annadurai on the complaint given by the health department officials.

The arrest of a fake doctor who was giving treatment without medical training has created a sensation in the area. There is also an expectation that small-scale hospitals be thoroughly inspected and that appropriate action be taken.
