A murder of democracy is happening in Erode East constituency - Edappadi Palanisamy in Coimbatore

Unlike in any other state, the ruling party is indulging in violations by locking up voters in bars like goats. Edappadi K Palaniswami alleged that it is condemnable that an elected party, which is supposed to do good to the people, is indulging in such acts.

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Opposition leader and AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, who arrived in Coimbatore by air from Chennai, held a press conference at the airport.

There he said, “Media should expose the irregularities that are taking place in the Erode East by-election. A field inspection should be conducted on the violations committed by the DMK directly.

The ruling DMK has been accused of locking up voters and feeding them. No action has been taken so far despite complaints to all the officials, including the district collector, about the irregularities taking place there.

The media has ignored these rules despite repeatedly talking about these rules in the context of open violation of election rules. But in what way is it fair to trespass into houses? In an environment where there is honesty with the media, they should not violate it. In the Erode by-election, there is a lot of excesses that are taking place than in any other state.

The ruling party is completely violating the rules by locking up the voters in the bar just like sheep. It is condemnable that a party which has been elected to do good for the people, is indulging in such acts. It is highly condemnable that the Chief Minister of the country is indulging in such acts.

What verdict the people will give will be known only after the election results. 1.5 crore AIADMK cadres are now on the rise and are working in a grand manner in the Erode by-election. The AIADMK candidate will definitely win as he is working hard.

Similarly, the AIADMK general council meeting will be held and a decision on the selection of the general secretary will be taken soon in consultation with the top leaders of the party. “
