At the Kancheepuram district level, liquor is being sold for Rs 9.40 crore per day. It is followed by Chennai which sells liquor for Rs 9.07 crore per day.

It has been revealed that the sale of liquor is declining due to the impact of production of baniyan companies and the loss of jobs of workers. In Tirupur, the daily sale of liquor stood at Rs 6.21 crore.

Last year, liquor was sold for more than Rs 8 crore. The sale of liquor is at its peak in various districts at the state level. There are only 159 liquor shops in Thanjavur district, where agriculture is concentrated.

Liquor is sold here for Rs 5.20 crore per day. It is noteworthy that despite having fewer shops, more liquor is being sold.
