Highways Dept. removes encroachments in Valparai for second consecutive day

The Highways Department in Valpari was engaged in removing buildings, shops, trolley shops, etc., which had been set up on the side of the road for road-widening work.


Coimbatore: For the second day in a row, the Highways Department in Valparai removed encroachments on roads.



In Valparai in Coimbatore district, the Highways Department was engaged since Wednesday in removing buildings, shops and trolley shops on the roadside for road-widening work.



More than 50 petty shops were removed.



For two consecutive days, the work was carried out till 10 pm from Gandhi Statue Bus Stand Road to the New Bus Stand.
