12 sovereign jewellery stolen from house near Vadavalli

An employee of a private firm had gone to Chennai with his family leaving his house locked. Miscreants broke open the lock of the house and looted 12 sovereigns of gold ornaments from the cupboard inside the house.



Coimbatore: Srinivasan (57), a resident of Gurusamy Nagar near Vadavalli in Coimbatore district works as a consultant in a private company. Srinivasan had locked his house on November 24 and left for Chennai with his family.

Maniammal who cleans his house daily went to the house as usual on November 25th morning and was shocked to find the lock of the front door of his house broken and the door open. Maniyammal immediately informed Srinivasan who returned to Coimbatore immediately.

He realised that 12 sovereigns of jewellery were stolen from the bureau. Following this, he lodged a complaint with the Vadavalli police station in connection with the robbery incident. Based on the complaint, the police collected clues with the help of Forensic Department officials but also recorded the fingerprints found in the house.

Following this, the police are on the lookout for the miscreants who looted the house.
