The renovation work of Poo Market on the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam main road at an estimated cost of Rs 120 lakh under the Chief Minister's Namakku Naame Scheme was inaugurated today.
Coimbatore: The Government Poo Market is located on Mettupalayam main road in Thondamuthur assembly constituency in Coimbatore district.
Under the Chief Minister's "Namakku Naame" scheme, renovation works will be taken up at a cost of Rs 120 lakh.
The inauguration ceremony of the reconstruction project was held today.
Minister for Electricity and Prohibition and Excise Senthil Balaji participated in the function and inaugurated the project.
Coimbatore District Collector, G.S. Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, former DMK MLA and Coimbatore district secretary N Karthik and others were present.
