Popular Front of India (PFI) head office in Coimbatore sealed - Revenue officials take action

While the Central government has banned the Popular Front of India (PFI), the revenue department today sealed the head office of the organisation at Kottaimedu in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The Union Home Ministry recently ordered a five-year ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliated organisations.

Engaging in an act of terrorism which is prejudicial to the integrity, security and sovereignty of the country, It was reported that the action was taken on the ground that they have been found to be involved in a series of crimes such as financing and committing brutal murders.



Following this, the offices of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai were sealed.

Following this, officials led by South thashildar Saranya sealed the Popular Front of India (PFI) head office at Kottaimedu in Coimbatore.

Earlier, officials led by Ukkadam Range Assistant Commissioner of Police Veerapandi checked and recorded the documents and materials kept in the office.

The PFI head office was sealed and sealed in the presence of Tahsildar Saranya after everything was recorded. Due to the incident, there was a tense atmosphere in the area for a few hours.
