A thief who tried to steal from a house near Jothi nagar in Pollachi caught redhanded and handed over to the police

A man tried to steal by climbing the walls of apartments at night in Jothi Nagar area near Pollachi in Coimbatore. The public tied them to a pole and handed them over to the Coimbatore East police.


Coimbatore: Kurinji Nagar and Lakshmi Nagar areas near Jothi Nagar in Pollachi are densely populated. Around midnight last night, two unidentified persons climbed onto the compound walls of the houses and tried to jump over them.

Meanwhile, the public woke up to the noise and when they shouted, the two tried to flee. In this case, the youth of the area chased the two men and one of them escaped and the other was caught.



Following this, the public tied him to a pole there and gave them a beating. This created a stir. The police were later informed.

Based on this, the Coimbatore East police station police rushed to the spot and questioned the arrested thieves. It was revealed that he was Venkatesh, a native of Thiruvadaimaruthur in Kumbakonam.

Investigations also revealed that several cases including attempt to murder and assault were pending against him. The police later arrested him and are also investigating the absconding person.

The incident created a sensation among the people of the area.
