Lone elephant spotted moving on hill in Thiruvalluvar Nagar on Thadagam Road in Coimbatore

Locals in the village requested the Forest Department to intensify night surveillance to ensure that the elephant does not stray into the village anytime.


Coimbatore: A lone elephant was spotted roaming in the Western Ghats in Thiruvalluvar Nagar area of Thadagam Road in Coimbatore. The elephant was seen moving in the lower part of the hill.

Even as locals were fascinated at the sight of the lone elephant moving on the hill, they requested the Forest Department to take steps to prevent the elephant from straying into the village as there is a possibility of the elephant entering the village at any time. They have also requested the forest department to intensify surveillance at night.
