Miscreants on a two-wheeler snatched a four-sovereign jewellery from Govindammal then grabbed the chain from the miscreants. The miscreants escaped with a 2.5-sovereign chain instead. Kuniyamuthur police are investigating the incident.
Coimbatore: Govindammal (75), hails from Kovaipudur. When she went to a shop near her house and returned home, miscreants on a two-wheeler came from behind him and snatched a 4-sovereign chain from his neck.
Govindammal then grabbed the chain from the miscreants and the robbers escaped with a 2.5-sovereign chain instead. Kuniyamuthur police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are examining the CCTV footage installed in the area and are investigating.
