Coimbatore: Protesting against the proposed construction of a toll booth on the Coimbatore-Pollachi Road, land owners gheraoed the National Highways Department officials near the Elur section.
The National Highways Department officials had arrived at the spot to scour the land for acquisition to set up the toll plaza. Commotion ensued between the protesters and authorities near the Elur section.
