Congress party cadres sell 'Pakodas' in front of BSNL office; Demand Central Govt. to drop Agnipath Scheme

The protesters raised slogans in front of the BSNL office near the District Collector's Office in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, Congress workers staged an innovative protest selling 'pakodas,' to press their demands for the Central Government to abandon the Agnipath Scheme.

Various parties have been protesting in various parts of the country against the Agnipath Scheme to recruit youth to the IAF on a contract basis.



As part of this, Congress parties across Tamil Nadu protested on Monday. In Coimbatore, Mayura Jayakumar, the State Executive Chairman of the Congress party, led a protest in front of the BSNL office near the District Collector's Office.



They raised slogans against the Central Government demanding the abandonment of the Agnipath Scheme.



More than 50 people participated in the unique protest.
