BJP banners placed on Avinashi Road in violation of City Police's restraining order were removed in Coimbatore

Eight BJP banners were removed on the roads leading from Coimbatore International Airport to the Lakshmi Mills signal.



Coimbatore: Banners on Avinashi Road placed by the BJP in violation of a restraining order issued by the Coimbatore City Police were removed in Coimbatore.

To mark International Yoga Day, Isha Yoga was hosting the event 'Save Soil Movement' and banners featuring BJP leader Annamalai and the Founder of Isha Foundation, Sadhguru were put up by BJP leaders. The Coimbatore City Police Commissioner had earlier ordered the removal of banners obstructing traffic which were without the permission of the Coimbatore City Police and the Corporation.



Following this, the police and Corporation employees removed eight of these banners which had been placed on the roads from Coimbatore airport to the Lakshmi Mills signal in Coimbatore.
