Petitions Committee of TN Legislative Assembly inspects progress of roads, flyovers and sewage treatment work across Coimbatore

As part of this, the Committee inspected the overpass being constructed from Goldwin's to Uppilipalayam on behalf of the Highways Department near Avinashi Road, Airport Junction.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Petitions Committee which inspects roads, flyovers and sewage treatment plans being carried out at various places in Coimbatore, inspected the overpass being constructed from Goldwin's to Uppilipalayam on behalf of the Highways Department near Avinashi Road, Airport Junction.



The Committee also visited Arvind Hospital and inquired about the extent to which the overpass work has been completed and its progress.



The inspection, chaired by the Tamil Nadu Assembly Petitions Committee Chairman Govi Cheliyan, included members such as Kathiravan, Giri, Govindasamy, Shankar, Chandran, Senthilkumar, Prabhakara Raja, Mangudi, Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Revenue Officer Leela Alex.



Following this, the construction work on BT Road near Tidel Park, the construction of the Vellalore Sewage Treatment Plant at Singanallur, and the reconstruction of stormwater drainage at 63rd Ward Jyoti Nagar are to be inspected.
