First-year students irked at delay in release of Anna University exam results

Coimbatore Regional Anna University clarified that it was customary for Anna University to make changes in its procedures, including exam evaluation, once every four years.

Coimbatore: The first-year students of the engineering colleges under Anna University across Tamil Nadu who had written their examinations in February and March of this year are irked that exam results which are usually released in May have not yet been released.

Coimbatore Regional Anna University officials clarified saying, “It is customary for Anna University to make changes in its procedures, including exam evaluation, once every four years. Changes were made in 2017. Currently, four years later in 2022, some changes are to be made. Due to this, there is a delay in the release of college exam results. Further, details should be sought from the Anna University Examination Department officials in Chennai.”

Commenting on the delay in results, a first-year student said, "Usually the results of the first-year examinations are released in May. At present, the results of the examinations have not even been released in June. It is not known when the results will be released. The students are eagerly awaiting the results but due to the delay, the student body is largely dissatisfied. Anna University administration should take action to publish the results of the examination as soon as possible. This is the expectation of all students.”
