Public Relations Camp at Valparai, Coimbatore – Welfare Assistance distributed

281-Beneficiaries benefited from the public relations camp held at Valparai under the leadership of the sub-Collector


Coimbatore: A public relations camp was held today to know the needs of the people in the Valparai area of Coimbatore district and to provide welfare assistance.

The camp was held at the Municipal Marriage Hall in Valparai under the chairmanship of the Pollachi Sub Collector.

Earlier, three public grievance camps were held in Valparai under the chairmanship of the Pollachi Sub Collector. It was announced that the petitions received will be resolved and the solution will be given to the general public at the camp to be held yesterday.



The camp was supposed to happen under the chairmanship of the District Collector. The Tahsildar had announced to the public that a public relations camp would be held under the chairmanship of the District Sub Collector owing to the fact that the district Collector couldn’t come.

The camp was held at the Municipal Wedding Hall in Valparai. Without enough space, the public gathered close and attended the camp. The meeting was chaired by the Pollachi Sub Collector and was attended by the Valparai Assembly Member Amul Kandasamy and other government officials.

In this camp, relief worth Rs 23 lakh 28 thousand 990 was provided to 281 beneficiaries.



This included 10 ironing machines 10 sewing machines, 108 old age allowances, 18 girl child protection schemes, 15 family cards, 2 women's allowances, 3 reliefs for wildlife attack victims injured on behalf of the forest department, Adivasi women's allowances, and coconut saplings were offered to the attendees.

In this camp, more than 200 petitions were received from the public. The petitions called for the provision of road facilities, drinking water facilities, housing, and pensions for the disabled and the elderly.

The meeting was attended by Valparai councilor Amul Kanda Sami, Governor Vijayakumar, Deputy Governor Jagadish, Municipal Commissioner Balu, Forest Officer Manikandan, Venkatesh, and all government department augmentation.
