Government Exhibition opens in Coimbatore yesterday after 2 years

Government Exhibition that opened in Coimbatore yesterday after 2 years was inaugurated by Ministers Senthil Balaji and MP Swaminathan


Coimbatore: Ministers Senthil Balaji and MP Swaminathan inaugurated the Government Exhibition at the Coimbatore Central Jail.

Senthilbalaji, Minister of electricity, and MP Saminathan, Minister of Information, inaugurated and visited the Government Exhibition on behalf of all the Departments of the Government of Coimbatore in the District.



The exhibition is scheduled to run for 45 days, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The fee is Rs 15 for adults and Rs 10 for children.

The exhibition will feature news - public relations, tourism, micro, small and medium enterprises, rural development and panchayat, forestry, agriculture, police, animal husbandry, and 27 other government departments.



In addition, 4 halls have been set up on behalf of Coimbatore Corporation, Tamil Nadu Drinking Water Drainage Board, Avin, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, and Tamil Nadu Women's Development Corporation. In this exhibition, fish and guitar patterns with vegetables are created and displayed on behalf of the horticulture department.



Speaking to reporters later, Information Minister Swaminathan said: “The government exhibition has not been held for the last two years due to the corona. Currently, the exhibition is well set up. Also, adequate security has been put in place in the exhibition hall. It has been advised to follow the rules announced by the government due to the prevailing threat of corona.



The event was attended by members of parliament, legislators, local government representatives, and government officials.
