Kavundampalayam and Sungam flyovers opened to public - CM inaugurates through video conferencing

Sungam flyover worth ₹283 crores and Kavundampalayam flyover worth ₹60 crores were inaugurated by Chief Minister of Tamilnadu through video conferencing.



Coimbatore: ₹238 crores worth Ramanathapuram - Sungam flyover at a distance of 3 km in Coimbatore city and the Mettupalayam-Ooty flyover covering a distance of 1 km at Kavundampalayam at the cost of ₹60 crores were inaugurated by Chief Minister MK Stalin through a video conference from the Secretariat in Chennai.



The event was held in Coimbatore and was attended by the Tamil Nadu Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister Senthil Balaji, the District Collector Sameeran, the Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar, the Corporation Commissioner Prathap, the MPs PR Natarajan and Shanmugasundaram, the former Minister Pongalur Palanichamy, the legislators Vanathi Srinivasan, Amman Arjunan and KR Jayaraman, the Deputy Mayor Vetrichelvan and the DMK District Officers Na. Karthik, Paiya R. Krishnan.



AIADMK legislators including the Koundampalayam legislator Arun Kumar were present at the opening of the bridge at Kavundampalayam.

It is to be noted that few days back SimpliCity had reported that there is tremendous public dissent for not opening the completed bridges despite the CM visiting Coimbatore during the Ooty flower show just a few days back.
