Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar, CCMC Commissioner M Prathap inspect areas under Northern Zone's Ward No. 19

The Mayor and the Commissioner of the Corporation inquired about the work being carried out by the Corporation's sanitary workers in the Alamelumangapuram area under Ward No. 19 and also instructed them.


Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar and the Commissioner of the Corporation, M Prathap inspected the cleaning work being done at Sridevi Nagar, Mookambigai Nagar, Ward No.19, Northern Zone, Coimbatore Corporation and directed the workers to clean the canal in the area.



Later, the CCMC Commissioner personally inspected the quality of food items kept in the shops and checked if there was illegal use of plastics that have been banned by the Government of Tamil Nadu. He advised the shop owners not to sell prohibited plastics in Ward No. 19.



In addition, Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar and the Corporation Commissioner M Prathap visited and inspected the Maniyakarampalayam Corporation School in the 19th Ward and also instructed engineers to construct additional classrooms in the school.



Meanwhile, Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar and Corporation Commissioner M Prataph inspected the Corporation's sanitary workers' process of segregation of compostable and non-compostable waste at Alamelumangapuram, Ward No. 19, Northern Region, Coimbatore Corporation.



In addition, Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar inspected the stock of food items prepared at Amma Restaurant in Sridevi Nagar, Alamelumangapuram in Ward No.19 and inspected the stocks of food items.



The Mayor and CCMC Commissioner were accompanied by the Northern Regional Committee Chairman, V Kathirvell, the 20th Ward Councillor Mariyaraj, Northern Regional Assistant Commissioner Moganasundari, the Assistant Chief Engineer Senthilbaskar and Assistant Urban Planning Officer (PO) Vimala, Regional Health Officer Radhakrishnan and other Corporation officials.
