Dist. Collector graces 170th-anniversary celebrations of Coimbatore Government Arts College

Students who excelled in college were awarded certificates at the event.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Government Arts College marked its 170th anniversary on June 10.

The Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran and the Bharathiyar University Vice-Chancellor, Vendar Kaliraj participated as special guests in the celebrations.



Speaking at the celebrations, the District Collector G S Sameeran lauded the students for performing Karakattam and Silambam in the college.



"Coimbatore Government Arts College tops the list of colleges with the highest number of students in the State.



Even if we finish college, we should be proud of the college we graduated from. Arrangements will also be made for accommodation at the college," assured the Collector.



During the celebratory event, certificates were awarded to students from various disciplines who excelled in college.
