Final year students of a private college in the Kovaipudur area clashed among themselves near Kuniyamuthur.
Coimbatore: The City Police are searching for students who escaped after attacking a Police Constable who tried to prevent a clash between private college students in the city's Kuniyamuthur area.
Final year students of a private college in the Kovaipudur area clashed among themselves near Kuniyamuthur following which the public informed the Kuniyamuthur police.
Assistant Inspector Chinraj and Chief Constable Thirunavukarasu arrived at the scene and tried to stop the students. Some of the students who tried to escape attacked Chief Constable Thirunavukarasu and fled. The Chief Constable suffered a minor injury in the clash.
Following this, the Kuniyamuthur police are searching for the students who escaped, with four private college students already arrested and being investigated by the police.
