CCMC Commissioner inspects areas under Western Zone's Ward No. 45

He instructed the workers and Health Inspectors to maintain public toilets and toll booths at the Mettupalayam bus stand in the Western Zone of Coimbatore Corporation in a hygienic manner.


Coimbatore: After enquiring about the work being done by the Corporation sanitary workers at the Mettupalayam bus stand which is under Ward No. 45 in Coimbatore Corporation West Zone, the new Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Pratap instructed the workers and Health Inspectors to maintain public toilets and toll booths at the Mettupalayam bus stand in the Western Zone of Coimbatore Corporation in a hygienic manner.



The CCMC Commissioner also inspected various amenities in Ward No.45 including the records of the availability of food items and the quality of food prepared at the Amma Restaurant in Mettupalayam Bus Stand and the MGR Market at Mettupalayam Main Road.



He also inspected the Micro Compost Center for the production of biodegradable waste behind the MGR Market on Ramasamy Road.



The Corporation Commissioner then inspected the development work of the Sanganoor sewage project on Mettupalayam Road being done at an estimated cost of Rs.49 crore.



He was accompanied by the Western Regional Assistant Commissioner (Additional Responsibility) Saravanan, the Assistant Chief Engineer Homalatha, the 45th Ward Councillor Babisuda Ravi, the Zonal Health Officer Paramasivam, the Health Inspector Saleth and other Corporation officials during the inspection.
