Coimbatore: M Prathap, the Commissioner of Coimbatore District visited Wards 81 and 82 of the Central Zone of Coimbatore to inspect the cleaning work being done and instructed workers to use appropriate protective gear.
The Commissioner then visited the office of the Health Inspector in Ward No.81 of the Central Zone to inspect the records of the current cleaning tasks as well as attendance records. Thereafter, he visited Raja Street and townhall areas of the Central Zone ofCoimbatore, to investigate whether banned plastic bags were still in use. He asked the citizens to kindly cooperate throughout the course of the investigation.
In the sidewalks of the Town Hall, the CCMC Commissioner met an old man who had nobody to support him. He enquired of the homeless man if he would be interested in joining an old age home.
