At the review meeting held under the Chairmanship of the Director of Social Welfare, it was suggested that action be taken to locate the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's Girl Child Protection Scheme who have attained 18 years of age.


Coimbatore: The District Collector of Coimbatore, G S Sameeran has insisted that beneficiaries of the Girl Child Protection Scheme above 18 years of age will be required to submit the relevant documents to avail of the scheme.

At a review meeting held on May 17 under the Chairmanship of the Director of Social Welfare, it was suggested that action be taken to locate the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's Girl Child Protection Scheme who have attained 18 years of age with original deposit securities, and help them understand the concept along with the relevant documents, and issue the maturity amount through the Tamil Nadu Electricity Fund.

Beneficiaries who have applied for the scheme in 5 Zones, 12 Circles, and in the Valparai Municipality in the Coimbatore District and obtained the original deposit fund certificate and are 18 years old should submit the original deposit bond to the Women's Welfare Officer or Social Welfare Extension Officer at the concerned Regional Development Offices or Zonal Offices along with their passport photo, Class 10 pass mark sheet and a copy of their individual bank account book in their name.
