'World No Tobacco Day' observed in Coimbatore; Collector G S Sameeran flags off awareness rally

The rallyists carried banners with anti-tobacco slogans and the dangers of tobacco.



Coimbatore: 'World No Tobacco Day' is observed annually on May 31 by the World Health Organization.



Accordingly, various awareness programs are being held in various places today on the eve of'World No Tobacco Day.' As part of this, the District Tobacco Control Center of the Department of Public Health and Immunization and the Private College (Ganga Nursing) held a Tobacco Eradication Day Awareness Rally at the Coimbatore District Collectorate. The rally was inaugurated by the District Collector, G S Sameeran.

Over 100 students and officials from the Tobacco Control Center marched carrying banners with anti-tobacco awareness slogans.
