DVAC sleuths raid Aavin Head office in Coimbatore; ₹8.4 lakh unaccounted cash seized.

During the raid, Rs 5.90 lakh was found in the car of the chief aide of Coimbatore Aavin and Rs 2.50 lakh in his cupboard.


Coimbatore: At 6.30 pm yesterday at the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Network (Aavin) in the Coimbatore Perur Pachapalayam area, the Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Unit led by ADSP Divya, led by more than ten researchers including Parimala Officers were involved in a surprise raid.

The raid was reportedly carried out on the basis of a complaint that high-ranking officials had been bribed to make job positions permanent and pay arrears to those who have served for more than ten years.



During the search, it was found that Krishnamurthy, who was the chief assistant to Coimbatore Aavin, had Rs 5.90 lakh in his car and Rs 2.50 lakh from his cupboard.

Following this, the anti-corruption police who seized the money are continuing to investigate Krishnamurthy and those who gave him the money.
