Coimbatore: Public has filed a petition seeking relocation of the Coimbatore Sanganur Electric Cemetery and Garbage Separation Center.

People in the area said that there was a private school near the electric cremation and that tens of thousands of people lived near the corporation's garbage sorting center, which often made children and adults unhealthy due to the stench of smoke and waste coming from there. The public alleged that they had to relocate.

They have repeatedly stated that government has not taken any action to these continued requests.
