Free retrofitted two-wheelers for physically challenged; applications invited

Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani, in a press release requested the differently abled in the District to apply for free retrofitted vehicles.


Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani, in a press release requested the differently abled in the District to apply for free retrofitted vehicles. 

He added that these retrofitted vehicles will be provided for students, businessmen and working professionals, based on a personal interview to be held on July 16. 

"All those who are differently abled and above 18 years of age with both legs impaired and hands fully functional can apply through post or in person to the District Welfare Officer for Disabled functioning at the Collectorate. In addition to this, a special grievance day for the differently abled will be held once in two months at the District Collectorate," the release added. 

The grievance day will be held on July 9, this month, led by the District Collector and other respective department officials. Petitions from the differently abled will be accepted and necessary action will be taken immediately.
