Pulse Polio Campaign On February 21

Coimbatore Corporation will hold the second phase of the pulse polio campaign on February 21. A release from the civic body says that the campaign will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to administer oral polio vaccine to infants and children aged less than five.

The corporation would administer the vaccine at its urban health centres, pharmacies, noon meal centres and at private health establishments in the city limit. For children in transit, the civic body had made special arrangements to give the drops at bus stands, railway junctions and through five mobile clinics.

Assuring the people that the vaccine was safe, the corporation asked parents to take their children to the vaccination centres.
