Last date for adding new voters to electoral roll extended till 30th November.

Coimbatore, Nov 1: The District Collector Mr T.N. Hariharan through a communique has announced that the last date for amending the draft electoral roll has been extended till 30th November. Earlier, it was announced that the final draft of electoral roll would be released on 5th January 2018, hence any additions, deletions or amending addresses will be entertained till 31st October. 

"The last date for addition, correction, deletion of names has been extended from 31st October to 30th November. Those youngsters who have turned 18 on or before 1st January 2018 can apply for inclusion of their names to the existing electoral by filing form 6; for deletion of names from the roll people should use form 7, for address change it would be form 8 and those residents who have shifted from one constituency to another are requested to fill form 8A and submit at their vote booths on or before 30th November", the statement said. 

The draft electoral role has a total electorate of 28,61,536 including 14,20,408 male voters and 14,40845 female voters and 283 transgender voters.
