Coimbatore’s Sukrawarpet-Telugu Street traffic diverted

Due to the laying of a drinking water pipeline from Sukrawarpet Road to Telugu Road in Coimbatore, the Corporation has announced a diversion in vehicular traffic from 10 pm today (07.09.2023) to 10 pm on September 10, 2023.


Coimbatore: Traffic has been diverted due to the laying of a drinking water pipeline from Sukrawarpet Road to Telugu Road in Coimbatore, from today till September 10, according to the Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner.

In a statement, the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap said, “The work of laying of water pipeline under the 24X7 project from Sukrawarpet Road to Telugu Road under Coimbatore Corporation, Central Zone Ward No. 73 and 81 will be taken up. Due to this, heavy vehicles going to Gandhipark via Sukrawarpet from 10 pm on 07.09.2023 to 10 pm on 10.09.2023 should reach Thadagam Road via Mettupalayam Road, Thiruvenkataswamy Road. Moreover, heavy vehicles going to Raja Street via Telugu Road should reach Chetty Road via Town Hall and proceed to Gandhi Park via Sullivan Road. Therefore, the public should cooperate.”
