Tender alert: 15 stations selected for Amrit Bharat Scheme in Salem railway station

The Amrit Bharat Station scheme is an ambitious program with the aim of developing railway stations all over India in order to provide improved amenities and services for passengers. The scheme seeks to create a more comfortable and efficient experience for passengers while they travel by train.


Tenders have been issued for all 15 selected stations in the Salem Railway Division under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. Tender value for stations is attached.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme aims to improve station amenities such as better station access, circulating areas, waiting halls, toilets, lifts/escalators as needed, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi,

kiosks for local products, better passenger information systems, executive lounges, designated spaces for business meetings, landscaping, and so on.



The proposal also intends to upgrade railway buildings, multimodal integration, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions, provision of ballastless tracks,

phasing and feasibility, and the establishment of city centres at the station in the long run.
