Coimbatore-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak special train to be diverted from Salem on Aug 31

The Coimbatore-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak special train will be diverted from Salem on August 31.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak special train will run as the Ernakulam-Bangalore special train from Salem on August 31.

According to a press release issued by the Salem Railway Divisional Administration, due to engineering maintenance work on the railway line in Omalur area, Salem district trains will be operated from Coimbatore to Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak station on August 31.

Train No.01014 Coimbatore-Coimbatore Special will leave Coimbatore at 8.55 am and reach Bangalore via Tirupati, Kuppam, Bangarapet and Krishnarajapuram. It will later proceed to Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Station. It was announced that the train will not run to Dharmapuri and Hosur railway stations on August 31.

Similarly, Ernakulam-Bangalore Intercity special train (No. 02678), while returning, will leave Ernakulam at 9.10 am on October 31 and reach Bangalore via Tirupati, Kuppam, Bangarapet and Krishnarajapuram. Due to this, the train will not ply to Dharmapuri and Hosur railway stations on that day.
