Due to the non-interlocking and yard remodelling works under way at the Palakkad Junction for one week, train services have been cancelled and partially cancelled on the Coimbatore-Palakkad section, on June 1 (Wednesday) to facilitate speedy completion of the work.
The Palakkad Division of railways has announced cancellation of seven trains and partial cancellation of eight trains on the Palakkad-Coimbatore section on Wednesday.
Cancellation
Train No. 66606 from Palakkad Town-Coimbatore MEMU leaving Palakkad Town at 7.20 a.m., Train No. 66607 Coimbatore-Palakkad Town MEMU leaving Coimbatore Junction at 6.10 p.m. and Train No. 66604 Shoranur - Coimbatore MEMU leaving Shoranur Junction at 2.50 p.m. will be cancelled on that day.
Train No. 66605 Coimbatore - Shoranur MEMU leaving Coimbatore Junction at 9.45 a.m., Train No. 66611 Palakkad-Ernakulam MEMU leaving Palakkad at 8:15 a.m., Train No. 66612 Ernakulam-Palakkad MEMU leaving Ernakulam at 12:25 p.m. and Train No. 56604 Shoranur-Coimbatore Passenger leaving Shoranur at 8 a.m. will also remain cancelled.
Partial cancellation
Train No. 56650 Kannur-Coimbatore Fast Passenger leaving Kannur at 5.45 a.m. will run only till Shoranur Junction.
Train No. 56651 Coimbatore-Kannur Fast Passenger leaving Coimbatore at 2.10 p.m. will be partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Shoranur and will start from Shoranur Junction at 4.20 p.m.
Train No. 56323 Coimbatore-Mangaluru Fast Passenger leaving Coimbatore Junction at 7.30 a.m. has been partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Kozhikode and will start from Kozhikode at 1 p.m.
Train No. 56324 Mangaluru-Coimbatore Fast Passenger leaving Mangaluru Central at 7.40 a.m. will run only up to Kozhikode.
The service of Train No. 66608 Palakkad Town-Erode MEMU leaving Palakkad Town at 14.30 hours has been partially cancelled between Palakkad Town and Coimbatore and this train will start from Coimbatore Junction at 4.10 p.m.
Train No.66609 Erode-Palakkad Town MEMU leaving Erode at 7.45 a.m. will run only up to Coimbatore Junction.
Service of Train No. 22610 Coimbatore-Mangaluru Express leaving Coimbatore Junction at 6:30 a.m. has been partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Shoranur and will start from Shoranur Junction at 8:15 a.m.
Train No. 56605 Coimbatore-Thrissur Passenger leaving Coimbatore at 4:40 p.m. has been cancelled between Coimbatore and Shoranur and will start from Shoranur Junction at 7:35 p.m.
