Coimbatore: Central government officials announced the extension for application for PM's housing scheme for all, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.








Coimbatore: Central government officials announced the extension for application for PM's housing scheme for all, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The scheme provides subsidies upto Rs. 2.5 lakhs to urban areas to help the poor to build their own houses. People with low finances in the villages under the Pollachi area have benefited from the scheme. Union officials talking to the press in Tirupur said, "already the centre has decided to extend dates up to March 31, 2021."

They assured that the beneficiaries who have applied and are eligible are assured to receive the grant within 114 days from the date of application. They also said people will not need to go to several government offices for the disbursal.

Officials said applicants can also apply online from home. Documents can be uploaded and applied for as per the rules given on the website https://pmaymis.gov.in/. Documents including bank card, Aadhar number, driving license, photo identity card, monthly income certificate, bank statement and income tax filing must be attached.
