These welfare schemes can hereon be applied only through E-Seva centres

The District Collector has announced that eight pension schemes can be availed only by applying through the E-Seva centres.


Coimbatore: The District Collector has announced that eight pension schemes can be availed only by applying through the E-Seva centres.

Usually, the applications for various schemes that operate under the Social Security Scheme are received from the public directly. Special Tahsildars in charge of the different schemes receive the applications.

However, the government has directed that the applications for the following eight schemes should be facilitated through E-Seva centres alone:

1. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme

2. Indira Gandhi National Widows Pension Scheme

3. Destitute Widow Pension Scheme

4. Destitute Deserted Wives Pension Scheme

5. Monthly Pension scheme for poor unmarried women aged above 50 years

6. Chief Minister's Farmers' Security Scheme

7. Indira Gandhi National Disability pension Scheme

8. Destitute Differently Abled Pension Scheme

In the future, the deserving applicants may visit the E-seva centres and upload their applications to avail the benefits.
