Salons, beauty parlours can function from May 24 in TN, execept in Chennai and containment zones- State govt


Chennai: In an announcement on Saturday, the TN Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has permitted functioning of salons and parlours starting from May 24. However, salons in Chennai and COVID-19 containment zones are not permitted to operate.

The salons can function between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and air conditions are not allowed. The public and the hair stylists and other service providers at the salon are advised to adhere to all COVID preventive measures like hand washing and weating masks.

The salons should be thoroughly sanitised five times a day and temperature of the staff working at the salons should be examined on a daily basis. Any violations will be dealt with, the State government announced on Saturday.
